KEEP OF KALESSIN Films 'Ascendant' Video

May 14, 2008

Norwegian metallers KEEP OF KALESSIN have issued the following update:

"KEEP OF KALESSIN has returned to Norway after an amazing north American tour with DIMMU BORGIR and BEHEMOTH. We're very happy with this tour and it's definitely the best tour we have done so far in our career. All three bands delivered amazing shows every night and everyone were super-cool people to hang out with! We definitely made some lifelong friends on this tour.

"We did a total of 27 shows all across North America and all shows were sold out or close to sold out. With venues ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 in capacity, I'd say that is very good for an extreme metal tour like this! It was also great to see that most of the people showed up early enough to see KEEP OF KALESSIN's set and we met a lot of fans that had been waiting a long time for our arrival in the U.S., and we also gained a lot of new fans. We tried to sign and meet our fans every night and the feedback from all of you was just great! We truly appreciate all the support!!

"Straight after the tour, with only one day of rest in between, we travelled to Gothenburg to record our new video. The video is directed by Patrick Ullaeus who is well known for his work with metal bands like DIMMU BORGIR, WITHIN TEMPTATION, IN FLAMES and many more. It will be a performance video shot on white screen / green screen and judging from the raw material it will be one of the 'baddest' metal videos of 2008!

"The video is for the track 'Ascendant' which now can be heard on MySpace. We are launching this page with new design today, so please feel free to check it out!

"Our new album 'Kolossus' will be released in Europe on June 6th and America on June 10th and we hope that all our fans get the album so we can convince the labels and promoters to have us back in the U.S. already in the fall."

A trailer for "Kolossus" can be viewed below.

The CD will be released by Indie Recordings and is licensed to Nuclear Blast for the following territories: Germany, Austria, Switzerland and rest of the world outside Europe (except Australia and Russia).

According to a press release, "KEEP OF KALESSIN is definitely the next big thing from Norway and will have a huge impact on the whole metal scene. The base of the music is for sure black metal, but KEEP OF KALESSIN are also including other influences like death metal, thrash metal and some non-metal components, making their style fresh and truly unique. You have to be deaf to not hear the incredible potential of the band. KEEP OF KALESSIN will soon be one of the main driving forces in extreme metal and one of THE bands of 2008. Be prepared for their matchless crusade!"
