KERI KELLI Cites 'Scheduling Conflicts' As Reason For L.A. GUNS Departure

December 5, 2003

Ex-SLASH'S SNAKEPIT guitarist Keri Kelli has dismissed as "false" the rumors that he was fired by L.A. GUNS as the group's touring guitarist after he engaged in "several drunken outbursts on the L.A. GUNS/BLACK N' BLUE tour."

In a press release announcing his departure from L.A. GUNS, Kelli attributed the split to scheduling conflicts with ADLER'S APPETITE, the new band formed by ex-GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steve Adler. "Keri has had a fantastic time playing with L.A. GUNS, and would like to thank all the fans for their continued support, but now has to concentrate on the Adler project," reads the statement. "This includes a forthcoming tour of Europe (Italy, Spain, Holland as well as the U.K.) and the upcoming recording of an album. Ex-GN'R [guitarist] Izzy Stradlin looks set to also take part in the recording.

"The split from L.A. GUNS means Keri will not be playing the forthcoming Mexican and European shows. However, he did stress that if he ever had a free schedule he would be there to fill in and help out."

As previously reported, ADLER'S APPETITE (formerly SUKI JONES),which is rounded out by RATT/ex-LOVE/HATE singer Jizzy Pearl, FASTER PUSSYCAT guitarist Brent Muscat, and ex-VINCE NEIL/RATT bassist Robbie Crane, have lined up the following shows during December:
