KEVIN DUBROW Calls The Fact That He Doesn't Have To Work With QUIET RIOT Again A 'Gift'

Former QUIET RIOT singer Kevin DuBrow has spoken to QCTimes.com about the breakup of his previous group and his current tour with Jani Lane of WARRANT fame. With regards to QUIET RIOT's split, DuBrow said, "I'd had it. I was going to do physical violence on someone if anyone pushed," he said. "My whup-ass can was this close to opening. The gift out of all of this is that I don't have to work with any of those people ever again."

On the fact that he will be flying to most of his tour stops on the current trek, Kevin said, "It's not because I'm doing a Chuck Berry. The financial realities of 2004 don't allow me to do it. This way, the expenses stay down. His (Lane's) band is located in Ohio which is about central to most of the tour.

"We can make it do-able. We're not getting peanuts, but the expenses are higher. The idea, originally, was to have four singers go out with a common band, but some just couldn't get their (act) together. Singers are all bi-polar." [Read more]
