KHANG Announce New Singer, Name Change
October 7, 2004British doom merchants KHANG, featuring former members of SERENITY and DOOM, have announced the addition of singer Paul Catten (MURDER ONE, MEDULLA NOCTE) to the group's ranks. "Paul adds a totally new dimension to this band, and we're all totally blown away with the vocal tracks he has laid down so far on the new album," the group write in a statement. "This has led us to decide to change the name to LAZARUS BLACK STAR! A name that suits the band's sound: dark, heavy-as-fuck mid-paced doom. YOU WILL BE HEARING ALOT MORE FROM US VERY SOON!!"
KHANG, who released their last CD, "Worship the Evil", in 2002, parted ways with singer Bryan Outlaw in April due to apparent "musical differences."
