KHOLD To Appear On Norwegian Soccer Tribute CD

March 23, 2006

According Klanen, the official Vålerenga football (soccer) supporters club, Norwegian black metalers KHOLD will contribute to the new tribute CD "Mange Motstandere - Ingen Motstand, En Hyllest Til Vålerenga" (in English: Many Opponents, No Opposition - a Tribute to Vålerenga). Other hard-rocking contributors on the CD, which is scheduled for release on March 27, include Norwegian humor stonerheads BLACK DEBBATH and punk metalers THE RETARDOS.

No further information is currently available, but since the lyrics on these tribute CDs are always written in Norwegian and normally deal with Vålerenga crushing its opponents, it remains to be seen if this will signal a shift in direction for KHOLD's lyrics as well as their image.

KHOLD recently put the finishing touches on their self-produced second video from their latest album, "Krek". The clip, for the song "Innestengt I Eikekiste", "will be coming to a screen near you shortly!" according to a press release.

As previously reported, KHOLD's video for the track "Blog Og Blek" has been posted online at Candlelight USA's web site. Visitors can download or view (available for both high- or low-speed connection) the Norwegian band's last clip in support of "Krek" at this location.

Formed in 2000, KHOLD is said to be "one of the most unique bands" in the extreme metal genre. Their 2004 CD, "Morke Graves Kammer", was their first with proper U.S. distribution. "Krek" is the fourth studio album from the widely respected black metal band.
