KHORS Parts Ways With Guitarist, Announces Replacement

August 6, 2009

Ukrainian black metallers KHORS have issued the following update:

"Guitar player Nort has left KHORS. We thank our friend for the years he devoted to the band and his work in the creation of 2006's 'Cold' and 2008's 'Mysticism' albums as well as the solid concert activity which couldn't take place without his active help. We remain very good friends and we yet shall drink together in Glory of Us and Our Ancient Gods! Warth, the guitarist of death metal band FACES OF DEATH, has recently joined the band as Nort's replacement."

Video footage of KHORS (featuring Nort) performing the song "Garnet" can be viewed below (taken from the recently released "Metal Heads' Mission Festival 2008" DVD).

KHORS's third album, "Mysticism", was released in December 2008 via Paragon Records.

Formed by former ASTROFAES bassist Khorus, and later joined by Helg (RUNES OF DIANECHT) and Khaoth (TESSARACT, ex-ASTROFAES, ex-HATE FOREST),KHORS plays black metal in the Ukrainian style that combines a somber atmosphere with rich melodies.

Since its inception, KHORS has quickly garnered a reputation for its unforgettable live performances, playing alongside OBTEST, BEHEMOTH, BUTTERFLY TEMPLE, BLOODRAIN, and many more.

"Mysticism" was issued in a deluxe digipack and also features bonus live video tracks.

The track listing is as follows:

01. Through the Rays of Fading Moon
02. Raven's Dance
03. Milk of Heavens
04. Winterfall
05. In the Cold Embrace of Mist
06. Pagan Scars
