KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Announces New Shows With HOWARD JONES Back On Vocals

April 15, 2010

Fresh off a successful headlining tour that ended in March, Massachusetts metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE will appear at the Rock On The Range festival in Columbus, Ohio at the end of May. They will play three shows around the Rock On The Range date, so if you are in Norfolk, Pittsburgh or Rochester, then you're certainly in luck!

The details are as follows:

May 19 - Norfolk, VA @ The NorVa
May 20 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Ches-A-Rena
May 21 - Rochester, NY @ Water Street Music Hall
May 22 - Columbus, OH @ Columbus Crew Stadium (Rock On The Range)

A Roadrunner Records spokesperson has told BLABBERMOUTH.NET that vocalist Howard Jones will return to KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's touring lineup for the above-mentioned shows after sitting out most of the band's recent headlining trek.

In February, it was announced that Jones had to unexpectedly leave the KILLSWITCH ENGAGE tour, leading to a flurry of rumors and questions about the status of the band. The group subsequently issued a statement addressing the matter, saying, "It became overwhelmingly obvious to all of us around Howard that he is in no condition to be on tour right now and that he needed to get off the road and get himself better. It's a personal matter and while we understand everyone's curiosity and concern for Howard and the band, we appreciate everyone respecting Howard's privacy at this time." Longtime friend Phil Labonte of ALL THAT REMAINS was able to fill in and help out the band for the remainder of the tour, which wrapped on March 21.
