KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: Interview, Performance Footage Available

August 22, 2008

Holland's FaceCulture has posted footage (see below) of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's performance at this year's Lowlands festival, which was held August 15-17 in Biddinghuizen, the Netherlands. Also available is an interview with the group's guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, who talks about beer, Lowlands, performing in a tent, being pro-mosh, HIM, SIGUR ROS, thinking outside the box, and more. The second series of interview clips with more live footage will follow in a few days.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE is expected to spend most of the rest of 2008 writing and recording material for its new album, tentatively due early next year via Roadrunner Records.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's sophomore Roadrunner release, "The End of Heartache", was certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) last November for shipments in excess of 500,000 copies. Featuring breakthrough radio hits "Rose of Sharyn" and the Grammy-nominated "The End of Heartache", the album was released on May 11, 2004 and experienced a steady rise to gold status. The album was hailed as "a stunning collection retaining much of their signature musical brutality but teasing with electric hooks, strategic use of silence" by Rolling Stone and organically received a mass of critical acclaim.
