KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: Moscow Concert Photos Available
October 16, 2007Russia's HeadBanger.ru portal has uploaded photos of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's October 13, 2007 performance at Moscow's Shadow Club. Check them out at this location.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE played in Moscow without their enigmatic guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, who has once again been forced to leave the tour due to health reasons. Adam underwent back surgery in early 2007 and is said to be continuing with daily physical therapy in order to fully recover from his injuries. The group is currently performing as a four-piece, with guitar tech Josh Mihlek filling in for Adam on select songs.
In a late September 2007 interview with Finland's HardcoreSounds.Net, Dutkiewicz was asked how his back was holding up several months after the operation. "Well, to be honest, [it's] not the greatest at the moment," he replied. "It's funny that you asked me this, because I think I hurt it couple of days ago again. Not as severe as before but it is starting to get a little sore again. Hopefully I will be able to finish this tour and then when we get back to States I will go and see my doctor again."
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's video for the cover of the DIO classic "Holy Diver" has been posted on MySpace. The clip was shot in the Calistoga, California area the weekend of June 16-17 with director Brian Thompson.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's cover of DIO's "Holy Diver" is included on the reissue of the band's most recent album, "As Daylight Dies", which was given the special-edition treatment on August 28. This special-edition CD/DVD contains three videos and four previously unreleased tracks.
"As Daylight Dies" has sold 297,000 copies in the United States since its November 21 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD is the follow-up to 2004's Grammy-nominated album "The End of Heartache", and 2005's gold-selling DVD "(Set This) World Ablaze".
