KILLSWITCH ENGAGE To Film 'The Arms Of Sorrow' Video Next Month
February 21, 2007KILLSWITCH ENGAGE will film a video for its new single, "The Arms of Sorrow", in March. The song comes off the group's new album, "As Daylight Dies", which has sold 203,000 copies in the United States since its November 21 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD is the follow up to 2004's Grammy-nominated album "The End of Heartache", and 2005's gold-selling DVD "(Set This) World Ablaze".
As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported yesterday, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE has now confirmed that former HALFORD/DIESEL MACHINE guitarist and ex-DAMAGEPLAN vocalist Patrick Lachman will fill in for KILLSWITCH guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz on the band's North American tour with DRAGONFORCE, CHIMAIRA and HE IS LEGEND. Dutkiewicz underwent emergency back surgery last month during KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's European trek and will spend the next few months recuperating. He plans to rejoin his bandmates later this spring. Standing in for Dutkiewicz on the European tour was ex-SOILWORK guitarist Peter Wichers.
The first annual No Fear Music Tour, featuring headliners KILLSWITCH ENGAGE alongside DRAGONFORCE, CHIMAIRA and HE IS LEGEND, is scheduled to kick off tonight (Wednesday, February 21) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's current single, "My Curse", hit #15 in the Active Rock format this week, and the video recently peaked at #1 on MTV2.
