KING'S X Frontman To Resume Work On PEARL JAM Project

June 26, 2006

KING'S X frontman Doug Pinnick has posted the following message on the band's official MySpace profile:

"I am home from the last KING'S X tour. It was awesome to play for and meet many of you people at the shows.

"In this time that I have off from touring, I plan on writing a few tunes for KING'S X and solo stuff. The project I did with Jeff [Ament, bass] and Mike [McCready, guitar] from PEARL JAM will be finished soon! They (PEARL JAM) are on a world tour now but since I am home I am planning to do what I have to to finish my vocals, which has been the hold-up.

"I am heading back to L.A. to get in on the mixing of ZERO 1, Hal Sparks' band that I have been producing with Hal. And Will Calhoun from LIVING COLOUR and I have been talking about doing a record together also.

"I just got a memo that KING'S X will be playing the 'Rock Palast' [TV show] in Germany October 20th! This means that there will be more shows booked around that time for you guys living in Europe! And we plan on recording a new KING'S X CD with Michael Wagener in the near future also."

KING'S X's latest album, "Ogre Tones", was released in September 2005 via InsideOut Music. The band's first release for the label was produced by Michael Wagener (METALLICA, ALICE COOPER, SKID ROW).
