KITTIE: 'Funeral For Yesterday' Enters Billboard Chart At 101
February 28, 2007Canadian all-girl metal band KITTIE has sold just under 9,000 copies of its new album, "Funeral for Yesterday", in its first week of release to debut at position No. 101 on next week's The Billboard 200 chart.
As previously reported, KITTIE filmed a video for the song "Funeral for Yesterday" on February 5 in Long Island, New York. The track is the title cut of the band's new album, which was released via KITTIE's record label, X of Infamy. A trailer for the DVD that is available as a companion disc with "Funeral for Yesterday" has been posted online at YouTube.com.
KITTIE's new CD was recorded at Retromedia Studio in Red Bank, New Jersey with producer Jack Ponti, who has previously worked with BON JOVI, SKID ROW, and ALICE COOPER. The band mixed the effort with producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER).
