As first reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET on Dec. 1, KITTIE has changed the name of its record label to X of Infamy from the previously announced Kiss of Infamy after reportedly receiving a cease-and-desist letter from attorneys representing Kiss Catalog Ltd. (the owner of the intellectual property rights pertaining to the musical group KISS) alleging that the Kiss of Infamy mark appeared to be "confusingly similar" to their client's mark.

X of Infamy will release KITTIE's new album, "Funeral for Yesterday", on February 20, 2007. Check out the cover artwork at this location. Four songs from the CD have been posted online on the band's MySpace page. Check out the tracks "Funeral for Yesterday", "Flowers of Flesh and Blood", "Witch Hunt" and "Around Your Heart" at this location.

KITTIE's new CD was recorded at Retromedia Studio in Red Bank, New Jersey with producer Jack Ponti, who has previously worked with BON JOVI, SKID ROW, and ALICE COOPER. Other songtitles set to appear on the new album include "Never Again", "The Change", "Breathe", "Last Goodbye", and "Slow Motion". The band recently finished mixing the effort with producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER).
