KOLDBORN: New Studio Clips Posted Online
October 19, 2005Danish death metallers KOLDBORN have uploaded several video clips from the recording sessions for their sophomore full-length album, "The Uncanny Valley", tentatively due in early 2006 through an as-yet-undetermined label. The follow-up to 2002's "First Enslavement" was recorded at Smart 'n' Hard studios with producer Jacob Bredahl and is said to be "the most brutal, fastest, heaviest and most catchy material" the band have penned to date. In addition, KOLDBORN have posted live video clips from their concerts in September and a full-length MP3 of the title track of their recent mini-CD, "The Devil of All Deals".
"The Uncanny Valley" projected track listing:
01. Lords of Stupidity
02. Disconnected
03. The Uncanny Valley
04. Below A Crushing Earth
05. A Destiny Predicted
06. Neural Bound
07. Repression
08. Relativity
09. Hope Transformed Horizon
10. 2:18
11. Last Message
A rehearsal recording of the track "Neural Bound" is available for download at this location.
KOLDBORN's latest EP, "Devil of All Deals", was recorded and mixed by Bredahl at Borsing Recordings and is the band's first CD to feature new members Bjørn Bihlet (guitar) and Lars Bjørn-Hansen (vocals).
In a recent interview with Denmark's Antenna webzine, KOLDBORN guitarist Henrik Jacobsen spoke about the group's current label situation.
"We're still looking," Henrik said. "We recorded a promo about a year ago which we mailed to a few labels, but we're still looking because we don't have a label at the moment. We're really looking for a label because we need someone to finance the album, but as it is now, we'll record and finance everything ourselves. This way we also end up with a product we're 100 percent in charge of. So it's totally up to us with regard to music, mix, layout and everything so it might be for the best this way. It's just us, who have to get the money up from our pockets, but I can live with that and this way we have a final product which we can send to the labels and hopefully get a deal and I'm sure we will, because the music is awesome."
