KONKHRA Part Ways With Drummer, Seek Replacement

April 18, 2006

Guitarist/vocalist Anders Lundemark of the Danish extreme metallers KONKHRA has issued the following update on the band's current activities:

"Well, I thought it was about time I told everybody what has and hasn't been brewing in our camp the last months. Johnny [Nielsen, drums] left the band — he has to take care of family and doesn't feel has what it takes anymore.

"We havent really been talking to anyone yet and I'd like to take this time invite anybody who's a drummer to get in touch and get some of the new songs sent mp3 to run an audition over. If you can groove and play blast beat 16th notes 240 bpm that should be sufficient. I'd also like to get someone with a firm internal clock and preferably capable of recording to a click. If you on top of this, are dedicated to extreme metal and get sick to the stomach when you hear the singalong girly choruses that has infested extreme metal these days then we are definately closing in.

"OK, that it.We have 6-7-8 songs ready now and I think we could be ready for recording within a month with the right guy behind the kit."

KONKHRA released their latest CD, "Reality Check", in May 2003 through Code666 Records. The album was recorded at Lundemark's own Starstruck Studio and was the group's first since their split with longtime label Diehard Records.
