KONKHRA Parts Ways With Bassist, Seeks Replacement
September 25, 2009Bassist Lars Schmidt has left Danish extreme metallers KONKHRA. The band is currently seeking a replacement. Interested parties can contact the group at [email protected].
KONKHRA's sixth album, "Nothing Is Sacred", was released last December in Denmark and in February in the rest of the world via Target Distribution. The CD featured a guest appearance by James Murphy (TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY) on lead guitar. Murphy was however, not able to tour, so the band joined forces with 20-year-old guitarist Michael Skovbakke, who is said to be capable of delivering and interpreting leads from the entire KONKHRA career.
"Nothing Is Sacred" was released in a limited edition including a bonus CD featuring the remastered demos "The Vicious Circle" and "Malgrowth", in addition to an extra booklet with the original artwork from the demos. When the demos were released on cassette in 1990 and 1991, respectively, they sold 2,000 copies each.
