KORN Bassist's Memoir Details His Conversion To Christianity
February 17, 2009According to The Pulse of Radio, KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu's upcoming memoir, "Got The Life: My Journey Of Addiction, Faith, Recovery and Korn", details his conversion to Christianity after years of drugs, booze and hard partying. A description of the book at its Amazon.com page reads in part, "By all appearances, Fieldy had the life. But he was on the dark path of excess, alienating friends, families, and loved ones, nearly destroying himself and the band. It took an unexpected tragedy to straighten him out: the death of his father, a born-again Christian, to a mysterious illness. Following his father's dying wish, Fieldy found God. Filled with the spirit of his new faith, Fieldy quit drugs and drinking cold turkey, and found the best part of himself."
"Got The Life" is due to be published on March 10.
Arvizu's conversion has been less publicized than that of former KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, who also sobered up, became a born-again Christian and quit the band in 2005 partially because of his religious beliefs.
