KORN Frontman Says He's Recovering In 'Record Time'
June 29, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: KORN frontman Jonathan Davis posted a message in the "Journal" section of the band's official website on Tuesday (June 27). Davis, who is recovering from a blood infection that could have been fatal, wrote, "What's up everybody? I'm feeling great, all the emails, blogs and letters really mean a lot and have helped me recover in record time. By the way, thanks to all of you who sent in your suggestions for the Family Values festival area, there are some cool ideas in there."
Davis recently solicited suggestions for the band's upcoming Family Values tour via the trek's official website. Ideas can still be submitted at [email protected].
Davis was hospitalized earlier this month in London when a blood disorder sent his platelet count plummeting to dangerously low levels. KORN was forced to scrap its European tour while Davis underwent treatment for the rare disease, called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP).
In other news, KORN's "Live On The Other Side" DVD sold just over 9,000 copies in its first week of release, debuting at No. 3 on Billboard's Music DVD chart. The first 70,000 copies of the disc include a voucher for two free lawn tickets to the Family Values tour, good with the purchase of two lawn tickets.
An official online store for the movie "Sin-Jin Smyth", a supernatural thriller in which Jonathan Davis plays the title character, has opened. The film, which does not yet have a release date, also features former wrestler Roddy Piper and porn star Jenna Jameson.
KORN will be joined by DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF and other acts on the Family Values tour, which begins on July 27 in Virginia Beach.
