KORN Kicking Off Full U.S. Tour Later This Month

April 9, 2009

According to The Pulse of Radio, KORN has announced the details of a full U.S. spring tour that will begin later this month, after previously confirming a mid-May appearance at Columbus, Ohio's Rock On The Range festival. The band's first trek in a year kicks off on April 25 in Tucson, Arizona, and will visit 23 cities before winding down on May 31 in Des Moines, Iowa. The road trip will encompass festivals, amphitheaters, and even a few shows in smaller venues like clubs.

Although singer Jonathan Davis says he's itching to get back on tour, he told The Pulse of Radio he's enjoyed his time off as well. "It's been nice," he said. "I got to hang out with the family, just kick back with my sons and my wife and just be a dad. I took a couple of months off, didn't do anything, and then the last six months I've been working on my solo record, getting that going, and that's coming along great. It's gonna be amazing when it's done."

KORN will begin work on its first new album since 2007 later in the year. The disc will be the band's first with touring drummer Ray Luzier as a full-time member.

Davis also expects to record his debut solo effort sometime this year as well.

KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu published a memoir titled "Got The Life: My Journey Of Addiction, Faith, Recovery and Korn" last month.
