KORN Readying Live DVD
April 7, 2008The Pulse of Radio reports that KORN plans to issue a concert DVD titled "Live in Montreaux 2004" on May 13. The disc will contain footage of the band performing 17 songs, including hits like "Got The Life", "Falling Away From Me", "Freak on a Leash" and "Here to Stay". Information about bonus content was not available, but since the DVD was taped in 2004, the disc will feature the original lineup of the band, before the departures of guitarist Brian "Head" Welch in 2005 and drummer David Silveria in 2006.
A source connected to KORN recently suggested that the original lineup could be reuniting later this year, although there has been no further information on the reunion or whether it would entail a new album, tour, or both.
KORN's lineup was stable for the first 12 years and six albums of the band's existence, until Welch left to devote his life to Christianity and Silveria took a "temporary hiatus" to spend time with his family and restaurant business.
Singer Jonathan Davis, guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer and bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu have carried on with a revolving cast of touring and studio musicians in the interim.
KORN played in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Saturday (April 5) and heads to Mexico, Australia and New Zealand for the rest of this month
Davis has scrapped a number of dates on his previously announced "Alone I Play" European tour in May/June, reportedly due to "personal reasons." Cancelled shows include those in Stockholm (Sweden),Belgium, France, and most of the UK leg of the tour, which was scheduled to kick off late May.
