KORN Sticks To Basics At Tour Opener

April 28, 2009

According to The Pulse of Radio, KORN kicked off their first tour in more than a year on Saturday night (April 25) in Tucson, Arizona on what RollingStone.com described as a "nearly bare" stage with stripped-down production. The 14-song, 70-minute set focused heavily on singles and fan favorites, although bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu told The Pulse of Radio just before the tour began that he wouldn't mind playing even longer. "Being onstage with KORN, I realize how much of a high that is," he said. "It's the best high I've ever felt in my life. When you're up there, the adrenaline I feel and how could I even want more than that is so amazing, you know? Knowing today how that feels, I wanna go play for three hours. You know, it's like, I'd play all day actually if I could. I tell Jon (Davis, frontman),I'm like, 'Let's play longer, man!' 'cause I'm like, I get off on it."

KORN opened their tour at Tucson Electric Park, the spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The tour continues Wednesday night (April 29) in Denver.
