KROKUS: Video Interview With MARC STORACE Available

April 6, 2009

Vocalist Marc Storace of Swiss hard rock veterans KROKUS was interviewed by Peter Waelti of the KROKUS Globe Club For Clan & Fan shortly before the band's August 2008 reunion concert at Stade De Suisse stadium in Bern, Switzerland. The chat took place outside the Kofmehl youth center in Solothurn. Switzerland, the birthplace of KROKUS (the band rehearsed at this location during the week preceding the reunion concert).

Marc played on 12 KROKUS albums (studio and live albums) over a time period between 1980's "Metal Rendez-Vous" release and up to 2006's "Hellraiser".

Marc covers the following topics in the interview:

* What caused the visual image change after "Headhunter" for the 1984 "The Blitz" release and tour?
* What is Marc's favorite KROKUS album and what's his favorite song?
* - How does it feel to be called a "classic?"
* What is Marc's most memorable KROKUS moment so far?
* What made him decide to lay to rest the "Hellraiser" lineup?
* What are his thoughts a couple of days before the muchanticipated reunion
concert last August?
* How did KROKUS pick their set list for this "magical" concert?
* Why did the band decide to play the first concert ever in its original line-up in
Switzerland?
* What does the future hold for KROKUS?

KROKUS has recorded the official song of the Ice Hockey World Championship, which will be held between April 24 and May 10, 2009 in Zurich and Bern, Switzerland. Bassist (and producer) Chris Von Rohr and lead guitarist Fernando Von Arb wrote the track, entitled "Live For The Action", and will perform it live — along with the rest of the band — in Bern at the opening game of the Ice Hockey World Championship between Switzerland and France. The event will be held in a packed stadium and broadcasted via TV to 800 million viewers in over 100 countries.

An audio sample of "Live For The Action" is available for streaming at the web site of Switzerland's Blick magazine at this location.

KROKUS recently inked a deal with the Swiss branch of Sony Music. The group's reunited lineup of vocalist Marc Storace, bassist (and producer) Chris Von Rohr, lead guitarist Fernando Von Arb, rhythm guitarist Mark "Koki" Kohler and drummer Freddy Steady will release its new album before the end of this year.

With over a million units sold in its country of origin alone, KROKUS is the most successful rock band in Switzerland's history. Worldwide, the band has sold in excess of 30 million albums.

Partnered with Ariola and Arista, KROKUS became an international success and ran up the charts with their hit albums "Metal Rendez-Vous" (1980),"Hardware" (1981),"One Vice At A Time" (1982),"Headhunter" (1983),"The Blitz" (1984) and "Change Of Address" (1986).

The classic KROKUS lineup reunited for an appearance on November 18, 2007 on a TV show honoring the greatest Swiss songs of all time. The "Die grössten Schweizer Hits" program featured KROKUS performing a medley of the tracks "Tokyo Nights", "Bedside Radio" and "Heatstrokes".
