KURT COBAIN's Daughter Interviewed By TEEN VOGUE
September 7, 2005Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Courtney Love and late NIRVANA star Kurt Cobain, interviewed in the upcoming issue of Teen Vogue. The New York Daily News has published a few excerpts for the piece, including the 13-year-old's thoughts on her legacy as the daughter of two of the 90s biggest rock stars.
"I don't want to be titled as Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain's daughter. I want to be thought of as Frances Cobain," she said.
And while Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994, was the poster boy for grunge, Frances says: "I don't like to look sloppy. I'm a girly-girl.
"I love feminine pieces," the seventh-grader told the magazine, which is due out Tuesday. "My favorite color is light pink. I also like baby blue because it brings out my eyes."
And, the Daily News reports, she doesn't like it when mom looks sloppy, either. "I prefer when she's more 'classy starlet.' I don't really like her hard-metal stuff, or when she doesn't brush her hair."
