KYLESA Frontman Involved In Bike Wreck; Band Cancels THIS IS YOUR FEST Appearance
December 29, 2006Savannah, GA-based sludge rockers KYLESA have issued the following update:
"Corey [Barhorst; bass, vocals) got into a bad bike wreck this evening [December 28] on the way to practice and hurt himself badly. He flipped on his bike and landed face first onto the concrete, knocking out his front teeth. His hands and face are badly bruised, cut and swollen and he has to have emergency dental surgery tomorrow because his nerves were exposed in the fall. This is obviously really shitty and we hope that he gets better soon. Send him love... I'm not sure if we will cancel all the upcoming shows (through January 5) or just the first few...I will post [as soon as possible] either way.
"To everyone who came to the This Is For You Fest in Daytona to see us; we are really sorry and we hope you understand. We will come back to Florida and make it up to you this spring."
KYLESA is continuing to support its new record, "Time Will Fuse Its Worth", which saw a Halloween release via Prosthetic Records. The follow-up to 2005's critically-acclaimed "To Walk a Middle Course" marked the recording debut of new drummers Jeff Porter and Carl McGinley, adding to the band's already thunderous sound.
