L'ESPRIT DU CLAN: Video Interview Available

February 18, 2008

HardTimes.ca has posted an interview with France's crossover veterans and Galy Records recording artists L'ESPRIT DU CLAN conducted in late 2007 during the band’s first ever non-European tour since forming 14 years ago. Founding guitarist Chamka discusses the band's numerous European tours with close friends MERAUDER, their insistence on writing in native French rather than English, and being partially funded by the French government's Culture Department. In light of continuing cuts, however, the band has choice words for the head of its governing body: "By the way, fuck our President."

L'ESPRIT DU CLAN's fourth and latest album, "Chapitre III: Corpus Delicti", was released in November and sees the six-piece boasting their most metallic sound yet. The band draws their influences from among the most respected metal and crossover acts of the Nineties and today, including MERAUDER, SEPULTURA, MACHINE HEAD, PANTERA, BIOHAZARD, and ALL OUT WAR.
