LACUNA COIL At Italy's ROCK IN IDRO Festival: Video Footage, Photos Available

June 15, 2009

Fan-filmed video footage of LACUNA COIL performing the song "Our Truth" on Sunday, June 14 at the Rock In Idro festival in Milan, Italy can be viewed below.

Photos of the band's meet-and-greet session and the concert can be found on Musica Metal.

According to Musica Metal, LACUNA COIL's "homecoming" show, which featured LIMP BIZKIT and FAITH NO MORE as the headliners, turned out to be the band's biggest audience turnout ever in Italy, and it culminated in a huge sing-along during the band's cover of DEPECHE MODE's "Enjoy The Silence".

LACUNA COIL will make its return to North America in July when it is scheduled to embark on a five-week headlining trek with KILL HANNAH, SEVENTH VOID and DOMMIN. The tour will mark the group's first headlining tour of North America in over two years, so it is definitely going to be a must-see event. Diehard fans can rejoice as this will be their chance to finally see the band perform an hour-plus set consisting of many tracks from the group's new album, "Shallow Life", alongside some older classics.

"Shallow Life" sold 21,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release.

LACUNA COIL's previous CD, "Karmacode", opened with just under 34,000 copies back in April 2006 to land at No. 28. It has since sold more than 200,000 units in the U.S.

The band's 2002 album, "Comalies", has shifted more than 300,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Shallow Life" was released in the U.S. on April 21 via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded in September/October at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Don Gilmore, who has previously worked with LINKIN PARK, TRAPT, AVRIL LAVIGNE, GOOD CHARLOTTE, THE VERONICAS, PEARL JAM, TRUST COMPANY and DURAN DURAN.
