LACUNA COIL On 'Chaos With Full Metal Jackie'; Audio Available

November 20, 2008

Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro of the Italian goth metal band LACUNA COIL were the featured guests on the October 26, 2008 edition of Indie 103.1 FM's specialty metal program "Chaos with Full Metal Jackie". The interview is now available for streaming at this location.

In other news, LACUNA COIL recently launched a social network entitled "Virtual Environment" for their fans to connect. Check out the network at this location. Several bands (such as CRADLE OF FILTH, OTEP, STAIND, HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD etc.) have also launched similar networks on the social network platform Ning.

The network is an ever-growing online environment that features fan-posted photos and videos, an online discussion forum and chat room, contests and promotional missions, tour dates, an official news feed, and gives the ability to fans to create their own personal MySpace-like pages. Forthcoming new features are currently in works.

A short promotional video for network can be viewed below.

LACUNA COIL's first-ever DVD, "Visual Karma (Body, Mind and Soul)", which is a celebration of all things from the band's "Karmacode" album and subsequent touring cycle, is due in North America on November 25 via Century Media. An e-card for the release, which allows you to view material from all sections of this double DVD, is available at this location. Watch clips from Wacken Open Air 2007 and Loudpark 2007 festivals, all promo clips for the "Karmacode" album plus snippets from the behind-the-scenes travel documentaries and individual band members' home videos.

"Visual Karma (Body, Mind and Soul)" will be available as a limited 2DVD + Audio DVD (5.1 mix of "Karmacode" on DVD, including rare songs) + CD (Wacken Open Air audio live) with a total running time of approximately 350 minutes and including special packaging, as well as standard 2DVD (total running time: approximately 215 minutes).

Commented band co-vocalist Andrea Ferro: "In the past, we've been asked a million times about when we were gonna put out a band DVD. Truthfully, we never felt like it was a priority, and we didn't want to release something just because the market was asking for it. The 'Karmacode' tour brought us to many different places around the world for the first time and we managed to record some of those great, outstanding shows, where the interaction with the people was just magic. This DVD is a beautiful reminder of where we have been in the past three years with all our body, mind and soul."

LACUNA COIL performed an acoustic version of the song "Closer" on Dave Navarro's Spread TV Internet show on ManiaTV.com on October 1, 2008. Watch the performance below.
