LACUNA COIL Prepare To Make U.S. Television Debut

May 9, 2006

LACUNA COIL's latest album, "Karmacode", has sold 67,000 copies in the United States since its April 4 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan (NOTE: That figure does not include the sales for the week ending May 7, which will be released tomorrow). The CD had a phenomenal first week at retail, moving an impressive 34,000 units and securing the No. 28 spot on The Billboard 200 chart. It also debuted at No. 5 on the Hard Music chart just behind such acclaimed artists as NICKELBACK and ROB ZOMBIE. Critics have hailed the much-anticipated release as the group’s most cohesive and all encompassing offering yet, led by the strength of its hit single "Our Truth", which is currently a Top 40 single on the U.S. Active Rock chart.

LACUNA COIL will be tonight's featured artist on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", performing on the show's outdoor stage in front of hundreds of fans. "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" airs at 12:05 a.m. on the ABC network, so be sure to tune in to witness LACUNA COIL's first live U.S. television performance.

LACUNA COIL just wrapped up a massive six-week, sold-out U.S. tour as direct support to ROB ZOMBIE, which will lead them into a main stage slot at this year's Ozzfest, becoming one of the few bands in the tour’s illustrious decade-long history to make the leap from second stage to the main stage.
