LACUNA COIL's 'Karmacode' Headed For Top 20 U.S. Debut?

According to Hits Daily Double, first-day reports from retailers across the United States indicate that LACUNA COIL's "Karmacode" album will sell between 30,000 and 40,000 copies in its first week of release, which could very well put them in the teens or low twenties in next week's The Billboard 200 chart. The band's 2002 album "Comalies" has sold more than 230,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. A representative for the group's record label, Century Media, recently told Billboard magazine that the album has sold 500,000 units worldwide.

In other news, LACUNA COIL will be undertaking an Italian headlining tour of in September. Confirmed dates are as follows:

Sep. 24 - Roma, ITA @ Palacisalfa
Sep. 25 - Firenze, ITA @ Auditorium Flog
Sep. 26 - Milano, ITA @ Alcatraz

LACUNA COIL will be on the cover of at least a half-dozen metal magazines this spring. In addition, an April appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and a segment of "The Mix" on ABC News are slated, according to Billboard.
