LACUNA COIL's SCABBIA: 'We Are Putting Together The Best Album Of Our Career'

May 5, 2008

LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia has posted the following message on her MySpace page:

"We had a band meeting this afternoon. It's been so weird... While we were discussing about music and stuff, it happened I found myself staring at each one of the boys: Maus [Biazzi; guitar], Marco [Coti Zelati; bass], Criz [Migliore; guitar], Andi [Ferro; vocals] and Criz [Mozzati; drums]... They probably didn't even notice that. And I just thought it's so awesome we're still together after all these years. We've been through tours, recordings, trips all around the world, we created music together, we suffered together, we laughed together. We are still here, together. We are putting together the best album of our career. The songs are so awesomely great; you can totally feel the energy of a band who's still.... a REAL band. United we rock. And hell yeah, I'm happy. Can't wait for you guys to hear the new shit!"

In a recent interview with EmptySpiral.net, LACUNA COIL's male singer Andrea Ferro stated about the songwriting process for the band's forthcoming album, "So far, we've been in an amazing creative mood. We really have this flowing creativity that we didn't expect, because we took a break after all the touring and the shows and then we just waited a bit before we met again in the practice room just to, you know, clear the air, the mind and change a bit of your lifestyle, don't live the same situation every day. So we just try to live our lives and solve all the situations we have back home, you know, pay all the bill family and everything. And then, after the Christmas break we met again and started working [on] some ideas, like the first ideas for songs that Marco and Maus came up with, and just start going to the practice room. We basically wanna do something different. We try also to change a bit of the process of the songwriting."
