LAMB OF GOD Guitarist To Sit Out European Shows; UNEARTH's MCGRATH To Fill In
July 15, 2009LAMB OF GOD guitarist Mark Morton will not perform with the band at the last six shows of the group's European tour as his wife is expecting a baby.
UNEARTH six-stringer Buz McGrath will fill in for Morton on these dates, which include an appearance at the U.K.'s Sonisphere festival.
Sonisphere festival will be held on August 1-2 at the legendary Knebworth Park, United Kingdom.
LAMB OF GOD will be the main support act on the fall leg of METALLICA's North American tour, starting on September 14 in Nashville and running through the end of November. According to LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler, "We will be doing a considerable amount of headline shows throughout this tour as well." He added, "This will be our final U.S. tour of 2009."

LAMB OF GOD's new album, "Wrath", has sold 163,000 copies in the United States since its February 24 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"Wrath" was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
The "Wrath" album was released in four configurations: an LP, a CD, a deluxe-edition CD with bonus disc — which contains isolated recording parts — as well as a super-deluxe version featuring a limited-edition box containing an LP, deluxe-edition CD and USB drive containing two exclusive bonus tracks.
