LAMB OF GOD, IRON MAIDEN, SLAYER, MACHINE HEAD Among 'Golden Gods' Nominees

According to The Sun Online, LAMB OF GOD is the favorite to walk off with the silverware at this year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.

The Virginia-based group is up for an impressive five gongs, including "Best Album", "Best Live Band" and "Best International Band".

And the fifth annual Metal Hammer bash, set to be held on June 11 at Koko in London, should be quite a party.

In attendance will be emo kings MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee and Marilyn Manson along with his new girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood.

Also up for awards are British IRON MAIDEN, VELVET REVOLVER and AVENGED SEVENFOLD.
