LANFEAR Part Ways With Singer, Announce Replacement
April 10, 2006German power metallers LANFEAR have parted ways with frontman Tobias Althammer. Replacing him in the vocal department is Nuno Miguel de Barros Fernandes, who has previously fronted the now-defunct German band ANGUISH.
"Nuno was our number one candidate from the beginning and we're absolutely sure that he's going to convince you all as well as he has convinced us," the group write in a statement. "Be excited!"
LANFEAR are currently working on material for their fifth album, which they promise will contain a few surprises. The band's fourth CD, "Another Golden Rage" (2005),was recorded at Dreamscape studios in Munich, Germany and featured a lyrical theme that was a continuation of the story which began on the title track of 2003's "The Art Effect".
