LAZARUS A.D.: 'Revolution' Video To Debut This Morning

September 23, 2009

"Revolution", the new live video from Kenosha, Wisconsin-based thrashers LAZARUS A.D., will premiere this morning (Wednesday, September 23) at 9:00 a.m. PST at Ultimate-Guitar.tv. The clip was filmed on June 26, 2009 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin's famed Summerfest.

Commented guitarist Dan Gapen: "The 'Revolution' video was shot with three cameras by Vision 4 Films in front of a stellar crowd. I think the video is a great way of showing what we do in a live setting and gives you an overall feel of what we are as a live band."

Gapen, who accidentally broke his hand in Las Vegas in July, added, "I got my cast removed on Tuesday and I am happy as hell!!! I had that son of a bitch on for six and a half weeks and I hated every minute of it. I was very relieved when I got the cast taken off and picked up my guitar and realized I could play pretty much exactly how I did before. This is great, because I was afraid that I would have to go through some type of bullshit therapy to gain my strength back, but for some reason or another, my playing wasn't really affected by the break. We are going to start practicing again this week and I can't wait. Also, in this time off we will be writing some new songs and hopefully going into the studio to record some rough production demos of material that will possibly be on our sophomore album!"

LAZARUS A.D.'s debut album, "The Onslaught", was released on March 3 via Metal Blade Records.

Originally known simply as LAZARUS, the band has been pummeling audiences with their brand of modern thrash since the spring of 2005. Have no doubts that LAZARUS A.D. is a thrash band, but merely in attitude as their sound is no simple throwback to the '80s Bay Area sound. They breathe a breath of fresh air into modern thrash with intelligent, memorable riffs, mid-tempo grooves, and high-flying solos.

In January of 2007, the band recorded "The Onslaught" with Chris Djuricic (SOIL, NOVEMBERS DOOM, MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO) at Studio One. James Murphy (ex-DEATH, TESTAMENT) handled mastering duties and remixed the album for its worldwide release via Metal Blade Records.

LAZARUS A.D. is:

Dan Gapen - Lead Guitar/Vocals
Jeff Paulick - Bass/Lead Vocals
Alex Lackner - Rhythm Guitar
Ryan Shutler - Drums
