Learn To Play Like AC/DC's ANGUS YOUNG

February 24, 2010

When Lick Library started to create its "learn to play AC/DC" DVDs, it was clear from the start that with so many great songs more DVDs would have to be added. As a result, Lick Library is pleased to announce the release of "Jam with AC/DC Volume 2" and "Learn to Play Angus Young The Solos", adding to the existing "Learn to Play AC/DC" volumes 1, 2 and 3, "Jam with AC/DC" volume 1 and "Quick Licks for Guitar - Angus Young".

Considered one of the most important and influential rock bands of all time, AC/DC continues to dominate the planet: "Back to Black" album is the second-biggest-selling album in history and their 2008 album "Black Ice" went to number one in 29 countries! Lead guitarist Angus Young, winner of the 2006 Kerrang! Legend Award, is renowned for his wild energetic guitar performances of blues infused stadium rock. These DVDs will show you what it is like to step into Angus Young's shoes and play AC/DC.

Both of the new DVDs are taught by Danny Gill, a former pupil of Joe Satriani, and co-author of the Musicians Institute's Rock Lead Guitar series. These guitar tutorial DVDs, in the customary Lick Library style, use a split screen to show you what both hands are doing, whilst breaking down these well loved tracks into bite-sized pieces which are easy to follow and learn.

"Jam with AC DC Volume 2" (RRP £27.99) – is a double DVD and play along CD of seven contemporary and classic AC/DC tracks: "Rock & Roll Train", "Black Ice", "Stiff Upper Lip", "Money Talks", "Shot Down In Flames", "Touch To Much" and "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Want To Rock & Roll)". In these guitar lessons, Danny shows you in a clear and concise manner both the lead and rhythm guitar parts. He breaks the tracks down, note for note, and then puts it all back together so you can see how it all works. The guitar tutorial DVD is ideal for players of all levels and will help you learn some of the most killer riffs in the history of rock.

"Learn to Play Angus Young The Solos" (RRP £23.99) – is a DVD and CD set of five timeless solos from AC/DC's impressive track catalogue. This guitar tuition DVD helps you learn the solos from "Back in Black", "You Shook Me All Night Long", and "For Those About To Rock" and the solos and outros from "Highway to Hell" and "Hells Bells". Danny takes you through each solos and outro initially at full tempo, then breaks it down and shows you it at the medium and slow tempos. This DVD will help you understand and learn how Angus Young so perfectly combines the use of the minor and major pentatonic scales in such an aggressive bluesy manner to produce that easily recognisable fiery tone and great licks.
