LEAVES' EYES Singers Comment On METAL HAMMER GOLDEN GODS AWARDS

June 18, 2007

LEAVES' EYES vocalists Liv Kristine (ex-THEATRE OF TRAGEDY) and Alex Krull (ATROCITY) have commented on their recent appearances at the Viruta Rock festival in Spain and Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in the U.K.

Said Liv: "We never thought we would ever play in a bullfight arena; we are all vegetarians. The Spanish fans were great, and the concerts of ATROCITY and LEAVES' EYES turned out fantastic although we struggled with some technical problems. However, our journey back from Malaga via Zurich to Stuttgart was not that easy at all. After our stop in Zurich our flight back to Stuttgart was cancelled due to a big thunderstorm. In the middle of the night we had to return to Germany by bus. In the very next morning we had to fly to London."

Added Alex: "Well, a little bit overtired but happy we arrived at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. It was a great event and we met a lot of interesting people and finally we could make some party. We also met my old mates of NAPALM DEATH and Lee [Dorrian] of CATHEDRAL. On stage Lee gave a special award to his former band which I consider a friendly gesture to make. The live performances of DIMMU BORGIR, LAMB OF GOD, MACHINE HEAD and TURISAS were great, too."

LEAVES' EYES will embark on a North American tour next spring with KING DIAMOND, KREATOR and CELLADOR.

LEAVES' EYES' latest EP, "Legend Land", entered the German chart at position No. 75.

"Legend Land" was released in North America on July 28, 2006 via Napalm Records.
