LEAVES' EYES: 'Vinland Saga' Enters German Chart At No. 62

June 8, 2005

LEAVES' EYES' sophomore album, "Vinland Saga", has entered the German Top 100 chart at position No. 62. The group's "Elegy" six-track mini CD has spent the past four weeks on the single chart, where it debuted at position No. 76. An exclusive preview of the new LEAVES' EYES video, "Elegy", has been posted online at LeavesEyes.com (Windows Media).

"Elegy" is scheduled for release in the U.S. on June 18 via Napalm Records. "Vinland Saga" will follow on July 19. A limited-edition version of the CD will include a bonus track, "Heal", plus a new version of the ballad "For Amelie" that was originally appeared on the group's debut album, "Lovelorn". The digipack will also include a large multimedia portion containing the "Elegy" video and exclusive making-of-the-album footage that will offer a direct view inside Mastersound Studio and the recordings of the album. Another highlight is a short film based on the concept of "Vinland Saga", featuring a special interview with singer Liv Kristine. All in all, there are two bonus tracks and more than 15 minutes of moving pictures.

LEAVES' EYES is the new band formed by ex-THEATRE OF TRAGEDY singer Liv Kristine Espenaes Krull and members of ATROCITY (who are fronted by Liv's husband Alexander Krull).
