LED ZEPPELIN Digital Cinema Premiere For 'The Song Remains The Same'

November 19, 2007

On Tuesday, November 27 in select movie theatres across the country, thousands of music fans will get to simultaneously experience "Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same" in its ultimate viewing and listening environment when Warner Home Video, Rhino Entertainment and D&E Entertainment roll out the digital red carpet for the legendary rock film. The one-night-only event will utilize D&E's digital cinema technology to simultaneously premiere a completely re-mastered and re-mixed high-definition print to nearly 50 U.S. cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Seattle. Showtime will be at 8:00 p.m. PST

The screening of the film coincides with Warner Home Video's (WHV) November 20 DVD release of LED ZEPPELIN's famed concert film with all 16 song performances for the first time together on DVD and more than 40 minutes of extra material. The DVDs include never-before-released performance footage of "Over The Hills and Far Away" and "Celebration Day"; plus performances of "Misty Mountain Hop" and "The Ocean". Special features also include a rare 1976 BBC interview with Robert Plant and Peter Grant; vintage TV footage from the infamous hotel robbery during the New York concert stand and the original theatrical trailer.

"Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same" will be available in two DVD editions with identical extra material: a Two-Disc Special Edition ($20.97 SRP) and a Collector's Edition ($44.98 SRP). The Collector's Edition also includes an exclusive LED ZEPPELIN t-shirt and rare memorabilia such as news articles, concert reviews, reproductions of original premiere invitations, collectible lobby cards and free poster offer.

"Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same" will also be available on December 11 in HD DVD and Blu-ray versions, each available for $28.99 SRP.

Filmed during the band's legendary three-night stand at Madison Square Garden in July 1973 and released theatrically in 1976, "Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same" features Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and the late John Bonham in a mesmerizing movie with classic music performances that include the hits "Dazed and Confused", "Stairway to Heaven", "Whole Lotta Love" and more. The film has been newly re-mixed and re-mastered in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound, personally supervised by the band.

Atlantic/Rhino Entertainment has also given "The Song Remains The Same" soundtrack the deluxe reissue treatment, with the band members overseeing the remixing and remastering of the original release. The new version of the soundtrack will also be available November 20 and includes six songs that were not on the original release — "Black Dog", "Over The Hills And Far Away", "Misty Mountain Hop", "Since I've Been Loving You", "The Ocean", and "Heartbreaker".
