LED ZEPPELIN Frontman's ATLANTIC Airhead

December 20, 2006

The New York Post's "Page Six" column reports: "When LED ZEPPELIN lead singer Robert Plant heard Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun had died, he called the record company to find out where he could send some flowers. The young receptionist at Atlantic had no idea who Ertegun was. Plant, whose platinum records are a cash cow for the label, had to go elsewhere to learn of the funeral arrangements for the Turkish-born impresario who worked with everyone from Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin to the YOUNG RASCALS and THE ROLLING STONES."
