LED ZEPPELIN: More Press Conference Details Revealed

September 11, 2007

According to NME.COM, LED ZEPPELIN will officially announce its reunion gig during a press conference on Wednesday, September 12 at the O2 Arena in London beginning at 4:00 p.m. BST.

Singer Robert Plant reportedly confirmed last week that the rumors about LED ZEPPELIN reforming were in fact true.

He explained that the band had a meeting about show on September 5 and said the reunion will be for one night only.

"There's not a lot to work out as it's only going to be one-off gig," he explained.

According to NME.COM, the show will be held at O2, possibly on November 26, and is a charity gig being organized by legendary promoter Harvey Goldsmith.

There has been talk that tour producers AEG Live and Michael Cohl's CPI (ROLLING STONES, GENESIS) have put in offers on a ZEPPELIN tour featuring founding members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones with late drummer John Bonham's son Jason on drums, according to Billboard.com. But it is also well known in the industry that standing offers have been on the table for a LED ZEPPELIN tour for more than a decade.
