Legendary THE GERMS/NIRVANA Guitarist PAT SMEAR Schedules NAMM Appearance

January 19, 2006

Hagstrom has announced that the legendary THE GERMS/NIRVANA guitarist Pat Smear will be appearing at the Hagstrom booth #4818 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20 at the NAMM Show, Anaheim Convention Center.

Pat Smear, currently with the reincarnation of THE GERMS and formerly of the FOO FIGHTERS and NIRVANA, is a longtime player of Hagstrom guitars.

"I have been playing Hagstroms for over 25 years," said Pat. "There is no other guitar in the world that has the tone, playability, and distinction of a Hagstrom!" Pat has over 20 Hagstroms at home, including Swedes, Super Swedes, Hagstrom III, and more, and he is recognized as having one of the largest vintage collection of Hagstrom guitars in the USA and is the resident expert on the durability and road-worthiness of the guitars.

Pat will be available for two hours on Friday at the NAMM show for signatures or to just chat about the guitars. His band, THE GERMS, are currently planning their spring 2006 U.S. tour, and he will be showing off the newest line of Hagstroms nightly.

Hagstrom guitars are highly revered for their quality, design, and most notably their fast playing necks. Hagstrom has estimated that 800,000 musicians have played their guitars around the world, including Elvis Presley, Frank Zappa, and THE BEATLES. The classic Hagstrom brand is manufactured and distributed by AM&S under license from AB Albin Hagstrom. While integrating all the unique features that made them legendary, Hagstrom guitars are now being crafted with innovations in materials and manufacture that dramatically enhance the original designs and more than please all those die-hard Hagstrom fans who have patiently waited for the return of these wonderful instruments since 1983.
