May 28, 2005LIFE OF AGONY have issued a statement commenting on their participation in this summer's Gigantour, a six-week festival trek co-headlined by MEGADETH and DREAM THEATER. "Dave Mustaine and MEGADETH have always been great to the band over the years and we are really looking forward to this," LIFE OF AGONY write on their web site. "Should be an awesome time. We're scheduled to play some top-notch venues on this tour, including New York's Jones Beach — which we've never done before in the history of LIFE OF AGONY. So, a BIG, BIG thanks goes out to Dave and the rest of the fellas for welcoming us to the bill. We're very psyched to see all of you LOA maniacs out at the shows this summer!"
LIFE OF AGONY will be releasing their new album, "Broken Valley", on June 14 via Epic Records.
LIFE OF AGONY's upcoming CD will be their first collection of new material since "Soul Searching Sun", which was released in 1997. The group's last release was a live album and DVD, entitled "River Runs Again: Live 2003". The two-disc set was recorded during the group's sold-out reunion shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on January 3-4, 2003 and was issued through SPV Records worldwide.
