November 19, 2010LIFE OF AGONY frontman Keith Caputo will take part in an "An Evening With Keith Caputo" event on December 4 at Dominion NY in New York City.
Dominion NY
428 Lafayette St.
New York, NY, 10003
Tickets are now available at www.dominionny.com.
Because the organizers decided to keep this event as intimate as possible (and this will be a seated event — first come, first served),they are only releasing 100 tickets for sale.
On December 4, those of you in attendance will be the first to see an unreleased 20-minute interview that Keith shot this past summer in Coney Island. This candid and personal interview sheds light on the "A Fondness For Hometown Scars" album along with Keith's reflections on music, his life and his aspirations. The interview screening will be followed by the premiere of the 11-minute short film/music video for "Got Monsters", which will not be released online until December 11. The evening will end with Keith performing a selection of songs from "Hometown Scars" on acoustic guitar and a seven-foot grand piano, accompanied by guitarist Ryan Oldcastle, and guest bass player Michael Shaw. This acoustic performance will be entirely recorded.
In early 2011, Caputo will release a special box-set with a CD of the live recording of the show and its footage will be included on Keith's first-ever solo DVD, along with the Coney Island interview and the following music videos from "Hometown Scars": "Crawling", "Bleed for Something Beautiful" and the brand-new "Got Monsters".
On the merch side, at the show you will have the opportunity to purchase most of Keith's CDs as well as copies of Keith's first collection of poetry, "Night Blooming Jasmine Will Never Smell The Same", which he co-wrote with photographer/music industry legend Michael Alago. All items will be available on Keith's web site at yet-to-be announced dates following the event.
