LIFE OF AGONY: New Album Delayed
March 19, 2005LIFE OF AGONY's new album, "Broken Valley" (view cover here),has had its release date pushed back to June 14 from the previously announced May 31. The delay is being attributed to "production issues," according to the group's management.
As previously reported, LIFE OF AGONY's new single, "Love to Let You Down", has been posted at the group's official web site. Check it out at this location. The single is scheduled to go for radio adds around March 21.
LIFE OF AGONY have been recording tracks for the new CD since October in two studios in Hollywood, CA, with producer Greg Fidelman (SLIPKNOT, JET, AUDIOSLAVE). Drums were tracked at the legendary Sunset Sound recording studio (home to where several DOORS albums were made),while bass, guitars, vocals and other overdubs were recorded at Westlake Studios (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS).
LIFE OF AGONY's upcoming album will be their first collection of new material since "Soul Searching Sun", which was released in 1997. The group's last release was a live album and DVD, entitled "River Runs Again: Live 2003". The two-disc set was recorded during the group's sold-out reunion shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on January 3-4, 2003 and was issued through SPV Records worldwide.
