LIFE OF AGONY: New Album Title, Cover Artwork Revealed

January 18, 2005

Reunited New York metallers LIFE OF AGONY have set "Broken Valley" as the title of their much-anticipated comeback studio album, tentatively due in May via Epic Records. Check out the album cover artwork at this location.

The group has been recording tracks since October in two studios in Hollywood, CA, with producer Greg Fidelman (SLIPKNOT, JET, AUDIOSLAVE). Drums were tracked at the legendary Sunset Sound recording studio (home to where several DOORS albums were made),while bass, guitars, vocals and other overdubs were recorded at Westlake Studios (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Strung Out", "Wicked Ways" and "Don't Bother".

LIFE OF AGONY's upcoming album will be their first collection of new material since "Soul Searching Sun", which was released in 1997. The group's last release was a live album and DVD, entitled "River Runs Again: Live 2003". The two-disc set was recorded during the group's sold-out reunion shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on January 3-4, 2003 and was issued through SPV Records worldwide.
