LIFELESS Signs To IBEX MOON RECORDS
November 9, 2009Germany's LIFELESS has inked a deal with Ibex Moon Records for the release of the band's sophomore effort. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to "Beyond the Threshold of Death" will be made available in early 2010. There are also plans for a worldwide re-release of "Beyond the Threshold of Death" through Ibex Moon.
Commented vocalist/guitarist Marc Niederhagemann: "The reason for us signing with Ibex Moon Records is the fact that it is an up-and-coming label and we are an up-and-coming band. The match is perfect for both sides and we want to give it our best. Further, John McEntee gave a very fair offer for a band in our position. We are glad to get this chance and looking forward for to continuing this good working relationship."
With disdain for flavor-of-the-month "extreme" acts and mix-and-match new school death metal, LIFELESS takes with the utmost seriousness the creation of its traditional death metal, a style that is influenced by the legends of both the Stockholm and Tampa scenes.
"Beyond the Threshold of Death" was produced and recorded by the bandmembers themselves and was mastered by Vesa Kenttäkumpu from Swedish death metallers EVOCATION.
