LILLIAN AXE To Enter Studio In June

April 4, 2008

New Orleans-based hard rockers LILLIAN AXE have issued the following update:

"Derrick [Lefevre; vocals], Steve [Blaze; guitar], Eric [Morris; bass], Sam [Poitevent; guitar] and Ken [Koudelka; drums] have been getting geared up to start recording the new LILLIAN AXE record in June. Steve has buried himself in his studio writing for the sixth studio and ninth overall album of the band's career."

Commented Blaze: "I haven't felt this creatively rejuvenated since I wrote the 'Psychoschizophrenia' album. The band is in top form and we are dying to get back on the road. Every day Eric calls me and says, 'When do we leave?'

"New songs include 'Hibernate', 'Kill Me Again' and 'Blood Raining Down On Her Wings'.

"The band will be doing several one-off shows including a tentative date with ACE FREHLEY in May. Then it's two months of recording with a tentative release in September/October."

LILLIAN AXE's 1999 "Fields Of Yesterday" LP was reissued with two bonus tracks on December 10 as part of Z Records' 10th anniversary celebrations.

LILLIAN AXE's first new studio LP in nearly fifteen years (and first for the Metro City Records label),"Waters Rising" was released on July 17, 2007.
