LIMP BIZKIT Pays 'Tribute' To GUNS N' ROSES With New Tour Book
May 16, 2009LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst's account on YFrog, a service run by ImageShack that lets users share their photos on Twitter, has been updated with a photo of LIMP BIZKIT's new tour book, which appears to be a tribute to the classic GUNS N' ROSES album "Appetite For Destruction".
The reunited original lineup of LIMP BIZKIT will embark on the "Unicorns N' Rainbows" tour in late May.
LIMP BIZKIT members Fred Durst and Wes Borland were featured in a March 2009 episode of rapper Snoop Dogg's variety talk show, "Dogg After Dark", which airs on MTV.
Regarding the band's decision to reunite for an upcoming tour and studio album, Durst said, "When you have the chemistry, or something that really works, you can go away for a while and do your thing, but LIMP BIZKIT will never work like it's supposed to work without the original DNA. The band sounds doper than we ever have, it's tighter than it's ever been, there's something happening — something very special happening with us. We needed that break, and now we're back, and it feels like we're stronger than ever."
LIMP BIZKIT announced in February its decision to return from an eight-year hiatus. Durst and Borland said in a joint statement, "We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why LIMP BIZKIT is back."
A new LIMP BIZKIT album, which would be the original group's first full-length effort since 2000, is also planned.
LIMP BIZKIT's first three albums have sold over 20 million copies in the U.S. alone, and another 13 million in the rest of the world.
