LIMP BIZKIT's 'Results' Down From Previous Albums

September 25, 2003

According to early reports from national accounts, OUTKAST's new double album, "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" is on track to sell as many as 500K units for the week, followed by DAVE MATTHEWS' solo debut, "Some Devil", which looks like it will move over 450K. Third up is LIMP BIZKIT's "Results May Vary", set for sales of around 350K for the week, followed by OBIE TRICE's "Cheers" and R. KELLY's "The R in R&B: Collection Vol. 1", which are set for sales of 250K. Further back is NICKELBACK's "The Long Road" at around 200K, and MURPHY LEE's "Murphy's Law" at 150K, and FUEL's "Natural Selection" at around 100K, and ROB ZOMBIE's greatest hits collection, "Past, Present and Future", set for sales between 70-80K.

Back in October 2000, LIMP BIZKIT sold 1,054,511 copies of their third album, "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water", in its first week on the shelves, landing it squarely at No. 1, and breaking PEARL JAM's single-week rock sales record. In fact, BIZKIT's album became the first rock record ever to sell a million copies in a single week. The Florida-bred band's second full-length effort, "Significant Other", shifted 635,000 copies during its first week of release in June 1999.
