LINKIN PARK, P.O.D. To Team Up For U.S. Tour

November 8, 2003

LINKIN PARK will be hooking up with P.O.D. for about six weeks of North American dates beginning in early January.

The tour will start in early January and will feature LINKIN PARK in the headlining slot.

"Their success is huge. You can't knock LINKIN PARK's sales," P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval told MTV.com about playing second on the bill. "There's no pride here. They're gonna go out, so what better package for the fans than for us to go with them? And they're awesome dudes. It's important that you go out with a band you can get along with."

The dates with P.O.D. mark LINKIN PARK's first U.S. tour since Summer Sanitarium, which also featured METALLICA, LIMP BIZKIT, DEFTONES and MUDVAYNE. "Live in Texas", a CD/DVD combo from the tour, will be released November 18.

The night before the package comes out, there will be screenings of the DVD at 42 movie theaters across the country. On Monday, the members of LINKIN PARK will attend an exclusive screening in Los Angeles at the Regent Showcase Theater. Select tickets are available to members of the band's fan club.
